Public Works employee Sibusiso Chonco's made a successful application to have his disciplinary hearing postponed as he is ill.
Chonco is one of 10 public works employees that are facing internal disciplinary hearings in relation to President Jacob Zuma's Nkandla home upgrades.
Chonco didn't pitch yesterday when the hearing was due to begin.

His lawyer, Adrian Moodley handed a medical certificate to the chairperson, Thulani Khuzwayo.
This morning, Moodley submitted more of Chonco's medical documents which show the medication he is on has side effects and that he's seen a clinical psychologist for depression and anxiety.

However, Public Works lawyer Clement Kulati says the application is a delay tactic.
"The purpose of this medical certificate is to obtain a postponement to a later date. We are not even sure when the matter will proceed because the employee might come up with another sickness. The employee was given the charges in 2014. The matter has been delaying up until now," he said.

However Khuzwayo says he feels Chonco is genuinely ill and has granted the postponement.
The hearing has been set down to resume July 4.
