Nine killed in Clare Estate mass shootings
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Police are investigating the murders of nine people in two gun attacks in Durban's Clare Estate area.
Six people, including two children, were found dead in a shack at an informal settlement on Saturday.
They'd suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says the youngest victim was five years old.
She says a man and a woman were also shot in another shack nearby.
"Yesterday at half-past six, another body was found in one of the shacks in the same area.
"We cannot say if the incidents are linked, but that will be investigated and also to find the motive of all these attacks."
