NICRO calls on Government to provide opportunities for youth
Updated | By Chanelle Lutchman
The South African National Institute for Crime Prevention and the Reintegration of Offenders is calling on government to step in and create more opportunities for young South Africans.

NICRO CEO Soraya Sooliman says such an investment in the country's youth will help keep them out of trouble.
"Those youth that have finished school, ensure that there are resources. Those that want to actually follow a path in vocational skills, a degree, a diploma, whatever it is but ensure that the youth have the skills to ensure that they can go on to provide for their children," she said.
The non-profit organisation says parents are also key to reducing the risk of their children getting into a life of crime.
