His arrest comes after the controversial group allegedly assaulted and broke into the home of Dobsonville resident Victor Ramerafe.
Ramerafe has been accused by the community of dealing in drugs.
Operational Dudula secretary-general Zandile Dabula says the group will be back at court on Monday in support of Dlamini.
Dlamini’s legal representative Ike Khumalo spoke to the media outside the court and said additional charges may be brought against his client.
He also accused the EFF of pressuring Ramerafe to open the case against Dlamini.

Scores of Operation Dudula supporters gathered outside court in support of Dlamini.
They danced and sang songs that hurled insults at EFF leader Julius Malema, whom they believed played a central role in Lux’s arrest.
Supporters also burned incense to ensure that Lux gets released from jail on Monday.
