Ngubane resigns as Eskom chair

Lynn Brown has confirmed the resignation of Ben Ngubane as chairperson of Eskom's board.
Brown says Ngubane resigned with immediate effect as a non-executive director and chairperson.
"Dr Ngubane formally tendered his resignation, which I accepted," Brown says.
Brown thanked Ngubane for his contribution in turning Eskom around since the "load shedding days of 2014/15".

"I wish him well in the future and to ensure continuity at Eskom, I have decided to appoint Mr Zethembe Khoza as interim chairperson until I am able to take new board appointments to Cabinet for approval."
Eskom’s annual general meeting is scheduled to take place later this month.
