NGO welcomes outcome in genital case
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
A gender equality NGO has welcomed the abandonment of bail by a Danish national accused of surgically removing female genitals and storing them in his freezer.

The man who cannot yet be named appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The matter has been postponed for further investigation after new charges were added to the case.
These include the possession of child pornography and the manufacturing of child pornography.
There are also allegations that he could be linked to the murder of two women in Lesotho.
Sonke Gender Justice's Mbuyiselo Botha says this will send out a strong message.
"We hope that the law will take its course and the justice system will not fail women by ensuring that there's proper prosecution and conviction that would go a long way in ensuring that it brings back the confidence of women in the justice system and the police," he said.
