NFP still hopeful ahead of local government elections
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The NFP has submitted papers to the Electoral Court to have a decision preventing the party from contesting the upcoming Local Government Elections overturned.

The papers were filed yesterday.
The IEC last week dismissed an application to review its decision.
The party was disqualified after failing to pay its deposit on time.
Acting national chairperson Bheki Gumbi says they hope in the next day or two the court will contact them with a date.
"We hope that we can present this evidence in a court of law and we also hope that, because of the evidence we have gathered, the IEC will change its decision so the NFP can participate in the Local Government Elections" he said.
