NFP: Specialised policing needed at Glebelands Hostel
Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
The National Freedom Party believes there is a need for a specialised
policing team to be deployed at Durban's Glebelands
Hostel.

The call comes after eight people were shot and killed at the notorious hostel in Umlazion Saturday morning.
A group of residents were reportedly drinking in their room when gunmen burst through the door and opened fire.
NFP spokesperson Canaan Mdletshe says the hostel has a horrible history of killings.
"We are not going to allow a situation where the Glebelands Hostel in Umlazi remains the centre of violence where people are killed. That hostel must remain a peaceful place for residents and neighbouring people, it must remain a place where even children are able to be raised in that complex.
"We want to see peace in that hostel, we want to see Isinduna coming out and calling for peace."
