The National Freedom Party says the only way to stop the political murders and other killings in KwaZulu-Natal is to reinstate the death penalty.

The party has been reacting to the killing of its chairperson in the Okhahlamba region.
Nkeni Mabaso was shot on Saturday afternoon near Bergville.
The 61-year-old was also the deputy chair of the Vulindlela Taxi Association.

Mlotshwa says, as short-term intervention, the army must be deployed to hot-spots in the province.
