The newly-opened Oceans Mall in Umhlanga, north of Durban, has been hit by robbers.
Police say three armed suspects entered the mall on Tuesday night and stormed an MTN store.
It's understood they held an employee at gunpoint and took cell phones and smartwatches.
Police say security guards gave chase and recovered some of the stolen items.
