New SASSA pay-points in KZN following riots
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Social grant beneficiaries in Umlazi will have to queue at new collection points, following last month's violence and unrest.
The South African Post Office in KwaZulu-Natal has had to make changes to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) pay-points, saying all post offices in the area, south of Durban, were looted and damaged during the riots.
Now, to collect their monthly grants on Wednesday, pensioners will need to make their way to the parking lot on shopping mall, Mega City's rooftop.
It will remain a pay point for those receiving their child support grants on Thursday.
