New SACE offices to benefit KZN Education
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Education in the province has been given a boost.
The South African Council for Educators has officially opened its provincial office in the Durban CBD.
The establishment is a significant milestone as the council's offices had previously been based only in Pretoria.
SACE CEO Reg Brijraj says teachers will benefit hugely from this establishment.
''SACE watches over the teaching profession in two ways. Firstly it ensures that teachers are properly qualified and registered appropriately, they are growing professionally and they abide by professional development directives."
''So once we know that teachers are watched over and they are supported, then definitely they will give off the best in creating this better nation that we want to create,'' he said.
