New iSimangaliso Wetland Park Authority board vows to hit ground running

The iSimangaliso
Wetland Park Authority's newly appointed board says it's committed to executing
the mandate it's been given, which includes ramping up infrastructure
maintenance and finalising land claims.
The new members have been appointed by Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment Barbara Creecy.
She says the board also need to work towards sustainable energy.
The new board, chaired by Inkosi Mabhudu Tembe, will be in place for three years.

"The new board will work as per the mandate of the organisation and with different skills assist the entity with overcoming issues that may arise from time to time,” says Bheki Manzini, who is the spokesperson for iSimangaliso
“This goes with Isimangaliso's vision which is to protect, conserve and present its world heritage values for current and future generations, whilst benefiting communities living in and adjacent to the park by facilitating optimal tourism and development.”
