New Covid-19 cases shows further downward trend

The number of new Covid-19 infections continue to decline in the first week during which the lockdown restrictions have been eased to Adjusted Level 2.
Statistics released by the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) show there were 4 667 new cases on Wednesday.
The number of people who tested positive over the last 24 hours stand at a positivity rate of 9.6%, the second consecutive day that the positivity rate is lower than 10%.
Covid-19 related fatalities have increased to 85 468 after 166 new deaths were reported.
