New Covid-19 cases rise by over 1 300, 59 new deaths

The Health Department has confirmed 1 385 new coronavirus infections across the country over the past 24 hours.

There has also been a further 59 covid-19 related deaths.
The death toll has now climbed to 54 125.
The majority of those deaths - 30 - were recorded in Gauteng, with 13 in KwaZulu Natal, 8 in the Free State, 5 in Limpopo and 3 in the Eastern Cape.
In our province there are 5 032 active cases, while the national recovery rate stands at 95 percent.
