Netcare dismisses Kingsway Hospital Covid red zone message as fake
The Netcare Group says a message on social media claiming its Kingsway Hospital in Amanzimtoti is a Covid-19 red zone is fake.
The company says the claims are inaccurate, misleading and highly irresponsible.
The hospital's general manager, Anna Demetriou, says the Covid-19 situation in KwaZulu-Natal is fluid but confirmed the hospital currently has very few patients admitted with coronavirus.
Demetriou says each of them is being cared for in an isolation section.
The Netcare Group has urged the public not to recklessly share unverified messages that could cause undue panic.
