Nehawu confirms nationwide strike at SARS over wages
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
Nehawu has confirmed it's pressing ahead with its plans to stage a full-blown national strike at SARS after the revenue service tabled a zero percent wage increase offer.

The education, health, and allied workers' union is asking for an 11.5% hike.
It's joining the Public Servants' Association in the industrial action.
The PSA wants a CPI plus 7% increase across the board.
Nehawu President, Mike Shingange believes their demands are justified.

"We will be continuing with demonstrations and ensuring that all the workplaces at SARS are not accessible by public and anyone else because the people who work there will be on strike,” he told a media briefing on Tuesday.
"The strike will take for as long as we are at a point where we will go back to the table to have a meaningful engagement with the management of SARS."
