NCR urges more financial education for women

The National Credit Regulator says while strides have been made to include women in the economy, financial education has failed to keep up.
This Women's Month, the regulator is focusing on women and their spending by means of campaigns and workshops.
The NCR's Phupu Mohlala says data shows more women have been taking on more credit while others are opting to restructure existing debt.

She says many are still over-indebted.
"We have seen that… with the 2022 December quarter, it was about 26 (million) consumers, and now it has increased to 27 million credit-active consumers."
