It's asked Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga to look into allegations of maladministration.

The union says public schools in the province received only 20% of their funding for norms and standards in May.

It says the department hasn't paid employees the 1,5% of their pay progression for 2022/2023 financial year.

Natu's Doctor Ngema says they are also concerned about the high number of teaching positions which remain vacant.
