National State of Disaster extended to 15 April
Government has extended the National State of Disaster by another month, until the 15th of April.
The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, published the extension in the Government Gazette on Tuesday morning.
This after the National Coronavirus Command Council held discussions on the country's pandemic restrictions on Monday.
Speculation was this week mounting over a possible plan to lift coronavirus measures.

But the Department of Cooperative Governance’s Lungi Mtshali says the Health Department requested the extension.
He says they've decided to remain cautious.
"There are reports that we are facing another wave of Covid-19. So it will allow South Africa to responsibly ease the restrictions on Covid-19, which at this moment are already at its very bare minimum.
"So we are asking South Africa to bear with us. The state of disaster is not something that will be with us forever."
