N3 escape: KZN police say one immigrant yet to be detained

KZN police are still searching for one of the 16 illegal immigrants who escaped from Home Affairs officials, yesterday.
It was initially reported that officers were looking for eight people.
However, the police's Thulani Zwane clarified the matter - saying that 16 people had escaped.
Zwane says over the past 24 hours, they've managed to re-arrest 15 people.

"One of the immigrants is still at large. We are still looking for the last one," he said.
The group was being transported on the N3 near Mooi River from Ladysmith to Pietermaritzburg yesterday morning when they escaped from a van.

An alert was issued to members of the community to assist police with any information.
