N3 crash at Van Reenens claims four lives
Four people have died in a horror crash on the N3 - at Van Reenens Pass - that's the Johannesburg-boundroute.
Spokesperson for the KZN Emergency Medical Services, Robert McKenzie says the crash involved a bakkie and a truck.
"The collision involved two vehicles and tragically four people have sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services together and those from several private ambulance services treated one patient at the scene of the crash."
Mckenzie says the cause of the crash is not known and is being investigated by the police.

The Road Traffic Inspectorate says it's alleged that the truck driver's brakes failed, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, veer into oncoming traffic and smash into the bakkie.
Three of the deceased were in the bakkie at the time of the crash while the fourth, was in the truck.
