One person has been killed and two others hurt after a
bakkie and a car collided on the N2 southbound carriageway in Durban.
The vehicles crashed in the vicinity of Queen Nandi Drive this afternoon.
Emergency services say the driver of the car died on impact.
Rescue Care’s Garrith Jamieson says the events leading up to the accident are still unclear at this stage.
“On arrival, medics found that the driver of the car had sustained major injuries. There was nothing they could do for him and he was declared dead at the scene. The driver and passenger in the second vehicle sustained moderate injuries,” he said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
