Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The head of National Roads Agency, SANRAL, says the multi-billion rand Mount Edgecombe interchange is meant to also support the explosive business growth in areas north of Durban.

Skhumbuzo Macozoma has been speaking at the official launch of the massive N2/ M41 interchange this morning.
He says aside from easing traffic congestion, they undertook the six-year project to help boost economic growth.
"It is a project that we did to increase the capacity of the interchange in view of the growth of the Durban North area. We see theeconomic investment that has gone into Umhlanga.
"We see it expand and it's moving all the way up towards Ballito. We know that the airport has recently been constructed. The Dube Trade Port is growing," Macozama said.
