N2 at Shaka's Head re-opened after violent protests
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The N2 freeway has been re-opened to traffic in the vicinity of Shaka's Head on the north coast.

Protestors earlier barricaded both the North and Southbound carriageways with rocks and burning tyres.
Transport's Zinhle Mngomezulu says traffic was severely affected between KwaDukuza and Ballito in both directions.
"The N2 at Shaka's Head had to be closed to traffic due to public protests," she said.
Motorists had been urged to bypass the scene using the R102.
