N2 closed at Winkelspruit after plane crash
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
Emergency Services officials are still on the scene of a light airplane crash on the south coast in which two people have been killed.
The aircraft came down near the N2 in Winkelspruit, apparently after hitting a power line.
EThekwini Metro Police's Eugene Msomi says the power lines fell onto the highway and as a precaution the highway has now been closed.
"The safety officers have closed both ways just to make sure that everyone is safe. We urge all people that will be travelling there to be cautious.
There is this restriction but it shouldn't be very long," he said.
