Mystery around cyclist found lying on the road in Westville
Mystery surrounds the death of a cyclist believed to be in his 40s who was found lying on Methven Road in Westville yesterday.
It is believed that a passer-by began CPR on the man after she saw him lying on the road. E24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing says he was unresponsive at the time.
"ER24 paramedics as well as other emergency services attended to the incident," she said.
"Paramedics took over the CPR and despite all efforts to save the man believed to be 40 years of age he sadly died," Bodasing said.
"Events leading up to the man being found lying on the road are unknown," she said.
