MUT students to receive free online learning
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) has struck a deal with network service providers - to give students free access to its online learning platform.

The varsity said it was concerned about students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, who would've had to buy data to access educational resources.
More and more institutions are moving classes to digital platforms due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The MUT's Azwi Mufamadi says zero-rating online learning will give all students a chance to participate.
"The university is still continuing with negotiations with the service providers to see how many other sites could be zero-rated and how long and if this is feasible beyond the lockdown."
