Murder suspect 'terrorised' community: KZN police
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A murder suspect who was shot dead in Durban on Thursday night is said to have terrorised the community of Mpumalanga township in KwaZulu-Natal.

The suspect was among the most wanted in the province.
KwaZulu-Natal police say he was facing multiple murder charges and had also been wanted for a spate of other crimes.
Spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says a 40-year-old man was killed on Thursday in the township, situated between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
He says while officers were busy on that scene, they received a tip-off about the whereabouts of the man's alleged shooters.
Zwane says the team was led to the Durban CBD where they approached a car with two occupants on Margaret Mncadi Street.
"When the members tried to approach these two suspects, it is alleged that they started to shoot towards the members. The members retaliated. As a result, one of them [suspect] was shot and killed and the second one tried to run away from the police but eventually, he was arrested."
"When the members searched the vehicle, it is alleged that they found two unlicensed firearms," he said.
The alleged accomplice will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
