Murder convicted businessman's appeal to be heard in December
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Pietermaritzburg businessman, Rajivee Soni will appeal his conviction and 30-year sentence in the Durban High Court next month.
Soni was found guilty in September of the murder of Pietermaritzburg doctor, Bhavish Sewran in 2013.
Soni's application was meant to go ahead today. His relatives packed the courtroom - but he was not present.
The court heard that some court papers were not in order.
Judge Jacqueline Hendriques postponed the matter until December. Sewram was shot dead outside his surgery in May five years ago.
The court found that Soni hired the hitman because he believed Sewram - his best friend - had been having an affair with his wife - Kerusha.
