A man who's been on the run for almost a week after his colleague at the Pietermaritzburg Traffic Department was shot dead will appear in the city's Magistrates’ Court today.

The police's Thulani Zwane says 49-year-old Phumlani Dlamini was allegedly shot by the suspect after an argument at the Traffic Department.
Dlamini died later.
Zwane says the suspect handed himself over at the Alexandra Road police station yesterday.
"It is alleged that the traffic officer who was in his office was approached by the suspect and he allegedly shot and killed his boss. The victim died later in hospital.
A case of murder was than opened by the Alexandra police for further investigation," he said.
