Multi-million-rand boost for KZN north coast hospital

The Ngwelezane Hospital Pediatric Burns Unit has been given a multi-million-rand revamp.

The Ngwelezane Hospital Pediatric Burns Unit has been given a multi-million-rand revamp.
The new unit was recently unveiled.
The hospital services communities in the King Cetshwayo, Umkhanyakude and Zululand districts.

CEO, Dr Bright Madlala says a R14.5-million donation helped provide new beds, equipment and a play area for children.
"The donation has assisted us in making sure that we can provide health services to patients in an environment geared for children. It is designed for children and adheres to all the requirements of how one will manage a burnt child," Madlala said.
