Mthonjaneni Local Municipality to reopen on Monday

Cooperative Governance officials say the offices of Mthonjaneni Local Municipality in Melmoth, in northern KwaZulu-Natal, will reopen on Monday.

The building's being decontaminated and sanitised after 19 employees tested positive for COVID-19.
The department says in the meantime, staff are working remotely.

MEC Sipho Hlomuka says employees are being tested and contact tracing's underway.
"[The mayor] promised me that the service delivery will continue even though there are those cases, but they are fumigating the offices now," he says.
