It says it's time uMsunduzi is held accountable for the disruptions to personal lives and businesses.

The group's Anthony Waldhausen says for months now they've been reaching out to the municipality and hoping it would get its house in order.

He says living and conducting business in the city has become a daily frustration.

“We are having water and electricity outages for more than a week at a time. We have found that the degrading of the city center has actually gone down to such an extent that businesses are actually leaving the CBD,” Waldhausen said.

“The poor service delivery is an inconvenience to residents. With the electricity outages, people have to throw away food which is not compensated by the municipality. We are also finding residents driving over potholes and damaging their vehicles,” Waldhausen added.

Newswatch has been unable to reach officials at the municipality.
