Msunduzi mayor's first 100 days challenged by revenue, infrastructure
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Msunduzi mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla says they are confident measures implemented will turn the city around to its former glory.

Thebolla put on the mayor's chain 100 days ago.
"We are the city on the move, that is the theme that we are using," he said.
He acknowledges that in a municipality fraught with problems, restoring residents' confidence in the city will be a challenge.
The provincial government placed Msunduzi under administration in the wake of poor management, financial woes, an inconsistent billing system and power problems.
Mayor Thebolla says realising the seriousness of these issues one of the first steps they have identified is to improve their ageing infrastructure and seek assistance from the business circle.
"We had a challenge in revenue collection, which is still a challenge even now. One of them is our ageing infrastructure, high vacancy rates in the city - being the fact that we can not pay everybody on time. Those are the challenges in the past 100 days," he said.
