African National Congress veteran and struggle stalwart Dr Mavuso Msimang has withdrawn his resignation from the party.
Msimang last week said he was quitting the ANC, which had been his political home for six decades.
In his resignation letter, he warned the party was on the verge of losing power, citing what he described as endemic corruption in the ANC.

Msimang said the graft and the party's inability to decisively deal with it has had devastating consequences on the governance of the country and the lives of poor people.
The ANC released a statement this afternoon, saying the Msimang has decided to remain a member after a meeting between him and Secretary-General Fikile Mbalula.
The party says the struggle stalwart will continue to speak against malfeasance impacting the interests of the society.
