MPs are assessing the impact and needs of businesses and entrepreneurs affected by last month's riots.
They've already spoken with business owners and informal traders in eNseleni, Empangeni, Esikhaleni and the KwaDukuza Local Municipality.
Chairperson Violet Sowela says they want to get an understanding of the interventions that need to be put in place, to help businesses get back on their feet.

"Our observation here is that all the areas have been vandalised and what is painful, all those businesses are black-owned business.
"Those who have no insurance must be assisted urgently so that they can resume their activities because many emerging companies or contract entrepreneurs have lost their businesses.
"So its a loss as the portfolio committee but we are here to sympathise with them and also to encourage them.
"After the visit, we will comply a report and sent it to respective departments to that they do some intervention and we will monitor that particular programme."
