Mourners flock from across the country to bid farewell to King Zwelithini

There's been an outpouring of support for the Zulu royal family, as mourners flock to Nongoma, to pay their respects to their King Goodwill Zwelithini.

Groups of people have been arriving at the KhethomThandayo Royal Palace, ahead of his official memorial service. 


This woman says the life lessons that were taught when she was a maiden taking part in the reed dance inspired her to choose a career in community development. 


"They learn about things that are not about sexual activities, we groom them from being a young girl to being a woman. Most of my work is community operated. I work with the young girls and boys, I felt the need that definitely we must pay our respects to the King."

This man says they drove all the way from Johannesburg and says as a young black corporate urbanization has seen young black detached from tradition.
