Angie Motshekga says unions and other stakeholders still want to make oral representations on the matter.

"We have the responsibility to make sure that all people cited have the opportunity to answer to the allegations made against them,'' said Motshekga.

Motshekga says the report, which was due to be released on Friday, will now be made public next week.

She has denied the department is caving into pressure from certain people.

The Ministerial Task Team and the respective parties have another 14 days, which delays the report much later but it's an advice we got from our council. We are following advice from council and not any other pressure," she said.

The 'jobs-for-cash' scandal rocked the country's education sector after allegations surfaced in a City Press exposé.

Members of teachers' union Sadtu, particularly in KZN and the Eastern Cape, were accused of selling various posts.
