Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The 200 protestors that brought traffic to a standstill at the Ottawa intersection north of Durban have peacefully dispersed.

They took to the R102, early on Friday morning, with placards in hand demanding the restoration of water and electricity services.
Durban metro police spokesperson Parboo Sewpersad says members of the Public Order Policing Unit are on the scene.

"The protestors have been dispersed peacefully for now, but they are standing on the side of the roadway. So motorists must exercise extreme caution when approaching that intersection."
