Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
With more holidaymakers travelling into KZN and others heading out after a long weekend break motorists are being asked to exercise caution on the roads in order to save lives.
Yesterday three people were killed and more than 30 others were injured in six separate accidents in KZN.
The three who died include a 3-year- old child, who was killed with the other two on the R617 in Franklin when a minibus overturned.
KZN Road Traffic Inspectorate spokesperson Zinhle Mngomezulu's urged motorists to abide by the rules of the road.
"We are anticipating a high volume of traffic with holidaymakers returning to their respective destinations," she said.
"We urge those who will be travelling over long distances to rest every 200 kilometers or every 2 hours," Mngomezulu said.
