Motorists to brace for heavy traffic on N3

Traffic volumes are likely to start picking up from today on the N3 between Gauteng and KZN.
The N3 Toll Concession which manages the busy route between Heidelberg and Cedara in the Midlands says some holidaymakers are expected to take advantage of the long weekend, using the extra day to travel to their holiday destinations.

Spokesperson Thania Dhoogra has cautioned that roads are likely to be busy.
"Road users should also expect busy traffic conditions over the coming weekend. The N3 route is in excellent condition. All construction activities have concluded, and all lanes are open to traffic."
