Motorist killed after car plummets from Overport mall’s parking area
A motorist has died after his car ploughed through the parking area of a multi-storey mall in Overport in Durban.
The vehicle is understood to have then plummeted four floors.
Emergency services found it lying on its roof.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says it's believed the driver lost control.
"Paramedics arrived at the scene to find a single occupant of a vehicle severely entrapped in the wreckage and had sustained fatal injuries. There was nothing paramedics could do for him, and he was declared deceased at the scene.
"The scene is on Overport Drive and the roadway had been closed. All necessary are in attendance and will be investigating further."
