Motorcyclist seriously injured in Pinetown crash
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
A motorcyclist is recovering in hospital from serious injuries after being involved in a crash along Otto Volek Road in Pinetwon, west of Durban.
The injuries were sustained after his bike and a light delivery vehicle collided in a T-bone fashion.
The impact was so severe that the biker sustained numerous fractions to his lower limbs.
Emer-G-Med's Kyle van Reenen says they immediately responded after getting notified of the incident where they arrived and stabilised the biker.
"On arrival at the scene it was found that a motorcycle and a light delivery vehicle had collided in a T-bone fashion", he said.
"The motorcyclist was left with serious injuries and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him before he was taken through to hospital for further medical care", van Reenen said.
