Moses Mabhida riot: Accused is 'not a Kaizer Chiefs supporter'
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter, Jarryd Subroyen
The man arrested following the violent stadium protest at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday night isn't a Kaizer Chiefs fan, according to his sister.
Phelelani Jojisa made his first appearance in the Durban Magistrate's Court yesterday.
He's facing charges of malicious damage to property and pitch invasion. His sister, Nomaswazi says he supports Orlando Pirates.
"Law enforcement must look for other suspects. With so many people who were there why was it only one person that was arrested. Phelelani has never broken the law, he doesn’t have a criminal record. He is not a criminal, he doesn’t even support Kaizer Chiefs. The people responsible for that were Kaizer Chiefs supporters, they knew that was going to happen," she said.

Jojisa is due back in court tomorrow for a possible bail application.
Meanwhile, management at the Moses Mabhida Stadium says they'll work on improving security for upcoming events at the venue.
Stadium manager, Vusi Mazibuko says they're working with the relevant authorities to identify those involved in the chaos. He says if found guilty - they could face stadium bans.
"What we saw and observed had nothing to do with sport. We need to understand that we are no longer dealing with the average football supporter. It needs to be dealt within that context," he said.
