More vaccines announced for KZN in coming days

KZN Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu says over 51 000 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in KZN so far.

She has said in a statement that more than 330 000 people have been infected with COVID–19 in the province since the pandemic hit our shores, over a year ago.
The MEC says KZN has registered 10 625 deaths - there have been 318 929 recoveries so far.
She says the vaccination process is continuing in earnest.
Simelane-Zulu says more health facilities in the province will receive fresh supplies of vaccines on the 13th of April.
"We are hoping that as the virus comes in we will be able to conclude with the health workers that we have", she said.
"In all the areas we have gone through as a province we have not been able to inoculate all health workers purely because the doses we were receiving were not enough", Simelane-Zulu said.
