'More support needed for LGBTQ community'

Scores of activists have marched in Durban, calling on government to keep its promises to the LGBTQ+ community.
The march was part of the Durban Pride festivities - which took place yesterday.

Humbane says some are afraid to come out because of safety and discrimination.

"It's not an easy thing. However, it's beginning to be a starting point of self-realisation and actualisation. Once a person comes out - they begin to be free and therein freedom exists," Humbane said.
