Munsamy was forced off a road near Pinetown in May and abducted.

She was found in November in a house in Emalahleni in Mpumalanga province.

The State told the court that a DNA analysis report and cellphone records were still outstanding – saying it would need about two weeks to get some of these documents.

It’s also emerged in court that the four accused have since been moved to the maximum security prison in Kokstad.

Former NPA boss Mxolisi Nxasana - who is representing two of the accused - told the court the move had made it impossible for them to consult with their clients.

He’s made an application to be furnished with reasons as to why this was done.

The court has also heard that two of the accused – whose nationality was in question – have been confirmed as South African citizens. The other two suspects Mozambican nationals.

The case has been adjourned until the end of the month.
