Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
Nearly 140 people have been
left homeless after storms battered the eMadlangeni and Greater Kokstad local
municipalities.

Cooperative Governance Department officials have been providing assistance, saying homes were flooded and a river in Kokstad burst its banks when torrential rains lashed parts of the province this past weekend.
The department's Senzelwa Mzila says they've also responded to incidents in Mfolozi where a house collapsed in ward 2 at Cici, and in Mtubatuba ward 1 where two families were evacuated when floods hit the region.
