While there are plans to reduce the number of Easter road fatalities to half of last year's figure, KZN's transport authorities say since Thursday, 114 people have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Law enforcement officials have been out in full force conducting operations - as holidaymakers flock to the province for the Easter festivities.
Spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane provincial department of transport has warned breaking the rules of the road will not be tolerated.
"We are going to increase visibility and make sure that we also focus on residential areas for those who will be drinking and driving within residential areas. But overall, more that 67 000 vehicles have been stopped and checked across the province and 13 000 written charges have been issued," he said.
Meanwhile, their Gauteng counterparts say 950 people were arrested in roadblocks across that province over the same period.
Of that number, 281 were nabbed for drunken driving.
More than 140 others were caught with drugs.
